Easy plant care tips for sun-loving, beginner-friendly plants

Sun-loving plants are some of the best plants for beginners because they're easy to care for and don't require a lot of time or attention. When placed in direct sunlight, these plants will thrive and grow quickly.
In this post, I'm going to highlight some of my favorite sun-loving housesplants that are also great for beginning plant owners! Of course, each of these plants has their own care requirement, but in general they have the same care needs: Plenty of bright sunlight.
General care for sun-loving plants
Providing plenty of sunlight is key when caring for sun-loving plants (obviously!). Place them near windows where they can receive bright light all day long, or use bright, indirect lighting if you don’t have enough direct light coming in from the window.
For some of these plants you'll have to experiment a but, because if you live in a hot climate, you might have to provide some shade during the hottest part of the day to prevent wilting and dehydration.
Keep an eye out for signs of stress such as discoloration, yellowing leaves, or slow growth; these may indicate that your plant isn’t getting enough sunshine or nutrients. Make sure to adjust accordingly by providing more water or light if needed!

Lavender
